THOUGHTS
I’ve been thinking about thinking. When I sit down in the morning to
share some of my thoughts, I think. I send that thinking to you.
You read and in process... think. To a degree we share the thinking
process. That’s amazing I think. In some small way we connect in
our minds. In a way we share some commonality. I cannot
come hug you right now, but we have shared, and I feel better because of it.
Now the thinking we do in these early morning sessions comes from God’s
thinking, through his eternal Spirit, his word.. So we share what is
good and right and true. This is getting better all the time!. God
is joining us, in a way, as we join in thought. Or maybe we are joining
with God in His thinking? This all sounds pretty awesome. It is
available. It can happen between any two of us, or many of us. It
is a fellowship in God’s word. It sounds so spiritually healthy. It is the process
that allows the Church to have one mind. I think it would be good to have more of this
process? It is a form of fellowship when physical hugs just aren’t
practical.
Rom 15:1-6 Now we who are strong ought to bear the
weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. 2
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "THE
REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU FELL ON ME." 4 For
whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that
through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have
hope. 5 Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement
grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,
6 so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Php2:1-8 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if
there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the
Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2
make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same
love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or
empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important
than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal
interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Have this attitude
[mind] in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed
in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7
but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in
the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of
death, even death on a cross.
My Prayer:
Oh God, thank you for hope in the morning. Help our minds to draw
together in your truth. Teach us to have the mind of Christ.
Cause us to share the mind of Christ. May we light up the world we live
in with your truth. May we be in your presence today.
In the precious name of Jesus we pray
Amen
